The president of Kellyanne Conway's alma mater appears to be none too pleased with her performance as a counselor to Donald Trump.
Trinity Washington University president Patricia Mc Guire sounded off on Conway's role in the current presidential administration.
In a letter dated February 12 titled 'On Lies and the Truths We Must Tell,' she wrote: 'Presidential Counselor Kellyanne Conway, Trinity Class of 1989, has played a large role in facilitating the manipulation of facts and encouraging the grave injustice being perpetrated by the Trump Administration's war on immigrants among many other issues.'Scroll down for video Trinity Washington University president Patricia Mc Guire sounded off on alumna Kellyanne Conway and her role in the current presidential administration.
Mc Guire wrote: 'Conway has been part of a team that thinks nothing of shaping and spreading a skein of lies'Mc Guire went on to discuss Conway's infamous 'alternative facts' and her invention of the 'Bowling Green Massacre.'Mc Guire said: 'Ms Conway has been part of a team that thinks nothing of shaping and spreading a skein of lies as a means to secure power.'Implicitly comparing Trump to a dictator, she wrote: 'Autocrats generate fear through capitalizing on ignorance and spreading lies - particularly widespread ignorance of other peoples and cultures and lies about their ability to commit violence and take away jobs.'The university's social media posts have further criticized the Trump administration.
The Washington Post noted that due to the increased role in fundraising university presidents play, it is rather unusual for a sitting president to denigrate an alum.
But Trinity Washington's president, in her criticisms of Conway, is a clear exception.
The university was a women's liberal arts college when Conway was attending but became a university in 2004.
But Mc Guire said there is a difference between disagreements over policy and disagreements over truth.
She told the Post: 'When you lie so consistently as this administration does, that's a moral issue.

Some people admire her staunch advocacy for her client’s positions, and others applaud the fact that she was the first woman to manage a successful presidential campaign.
